Our Shop Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of Rustic and Renewed Décor's e-commerce website www.rusticandreneweddecor.ca (the "Site). By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand the Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.

Intellectual Property

All content published and available on our Site is the property of Rustic and Renewed Décor. Content includes, but is not limited to, images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

Acceptable Use

As a user of our Site, you agree not to use our Site for any illegal purposes and to not:

  • Harass or mistreat others on our Site;

  • Violate the rights of others on our Site;

  • Violate the intellectual property rights of the Site owners or any third party to the Site;

  • Hack into the account of another user on the Site;

  • Post any material or comments that are deemed inappropriate or offensive or

  • Act in a way that could be considered fraudulent.

If we believe you have used our Site illegally or in any manner that violates our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to terminate your access to our Site and take legal steps to prevent you from accessing our Site in the future.

User Contributions

Users may post the following information on our Site:

  • Public comments

  • Complete subscription to our newsletters and discounts.

  • Complete forms that information is sent to Rustic and Renewed Décor

By posting these contributions on our Site, you agree not to act illegally or violate our Terms and Conditions.

Accounts and The Sale of Goods

When you agree to set up an account on our Site to purchase goods, you agree to the following:

  1. You are solely responsible for your account, the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information that is attached to that account, and

  2. You agree that all personal information you provide us through your account is up to date, accurate, and truthful, and you are responsible for updating any information if it changes.

  3. Wix stores all information on Wix servers. This Site is secured with an SSL certificate so the information you enter is encrypted between entering and storing order information in the cloud.

  4. We use Wix Payments, which is PCI compliant, so Rustic and Renewed Decor do not have access to or store any of your payment information.

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of goods on our Site. They apply to all goods displayed on our Site when you access it. This includes all products listed as being out of stock. All information, descriptions, and images we provide about our goods are as accurate as possible. 

 

We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your order whenever necessary. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount paid. You agree that you are responsible for monitoring your payment choice to verify receipt of your refund.

 

Donations for Tree Replanting

TREE CANADA

Since our business utilizes wood from trees almost exclusively from Ontario, we believe in giving back to nature to ensure that the trees we use are replenished. For every order made on our rustic farmhouse decor, we donate 3% of the proceeds to Tree Canada, an incredible organization dedicated to planting and nurturing trees nationwide. We specifically focus on supporting Tree Canada's initiatives in Ontario, where our wood primarily originates.

Through our quarterly donations, we plan to contribute to the planting of seedlings in Ontario, helping restore and replenish the region's beautiful forests. We proudly support Tree Canada's mission to create a greener and healthier future.

Product Size & Colour

SIZE

The product sizes may not be 100% exact on a made-to-order item and may differ by a 1/4 of inch on either side, especially with reclaimed products to avoid any large defect in the wood.  

​

COLOUR

We offer stain and paint swatches along with product images. Please note that the stains may appear differently on various types of wood. Additionally, the chalk paint colours and stains may vary slightly due to the colour and pixel range differences on different monitors.

Shipping & Delivery

SHIPPING

In Stock Items

 

Orders for in-stock items will ship within 3 to 5 business days after the order is placed and payment is received. If the order is out of stock, it will be made and shipped according to Made-To-Order shipments. You will be contacted when it ships. If your credit card is being held for any reason by our payment processor, we will notify you so you can contact your credit card provider.

Made-To Order Items

Made-to-order items are made when ordered and will be available for shipping within a maximum of 3 weeks. The time depends on the volume and complexity of the item. You will be notified if there is a reason for any delay (vacation or unforeseen supply issue). If you don't wish to wait, we will refund your order and shipping immediately.

​

Custom Items

We will provide an estimated time to make the item and a quotation for all custom orders. However, we can only estimate weight/shipping costs once the item is made. A 50% down payment is required before the product is started.

 

The remainder owed and shipping costs /delivery fees are due before shipment. The best shipping price will be chosen based on size/weight/location. You can use your carrier or pick up the item in Sarnia, Ontario.

DELIVERY & PICKUP

We provide delivery and pickup for those within Lambton County. If you are outside Lambton County and would like to pick it up, contact us, and we will refund shipping and schedule a pickup time with you.

​

Delivery

We will deliver to some local regions within Southwestern Ontario based on postal codes. We currently deliver to Lambton County, and the postal code sets prices. When the item is ready for delivery, you will be contacted and set a delivery date/time. You must be available to receive the item, or it will be returned to Sarnia, and you will need to pay another delivery fee or pick up the item at our location. 

 

We can only deliver to a house or townhouse with direct access or an apartment or condo that is reachable from the outside.

​

We do not accept any returns on delivered items once they are accepted.

​

​

Pickup

For those locally, we offer pickup, which is free of charge but must be collected within the pickup times provided. You will be notified of the available location and pickup time frames. Please confirm a time once you are provided with the times.

 

We do not accept returns on picked-up items once received and accepted. 

​

Returns and Refunds

DAMAGED ITEMS

If an item is damaged in transit, we need to receive a picture of the box and the item before we can refund your order and shipping. We do not require the product to be returned, but we must receive the information for the full refund as soon as the item is received. (Within 7 business days of receipt) to info@rusticandreneweddecor.ca.

 Include the following: 

  • Name

  • Order Number

  • Date of Arrival of Shipment

  • Picture of Packaging

  • Picture of Product

​

We photograph the item in the packaging before shipping to verify how it was packaged, so it arrives broken; we have verification for the shipper of how it was packed. 

​

Accidents happen in transit, so we will refund the item and shipping 100% once we receive the information.

​

REGULAR RETURNS AND REFUNDS

At Rustic and Renewed Decor, we want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know. We will try to work with you to a satisfactory conclusion. It is essential that you are happy with the product you purchased from Rustic and Renewed Decor. Our standard return/refund policy based on product types are outlined below.

In Stock Items

 

At Rustic and Renewed Decor, we want you to be delighted with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not happy, we accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. 

​

For in-stock items purchased from our Site, including those on back order, you must email us (info@rusticandreneweddecor) within 7 days of receiving the item to let us know you are returning it. The item must be received back in the condition it was shipped within 30 days of receiving it to receive a full refund. We do not cover the cost of the return or refund shipping.

​

We photograph all products before shipping. If an item is damaged, please refer to damaged item refunds and follow that process to receive a refund for both the product and shipping.

Made-To-Order Items

Since items made-to-order were made to your specifications, we cannot provide full refunds except for damage. For made-to-order items purchased from our Site, please email us (info@rusticandreneweddecor) within 7 days of receiving the item to let us know you are returning it with the order number and reason. If you choose to return your product, we will provide you with a 70% refund on the amount, but it must be received within 30 days of receipt and in the condition in which it was shipped. We do not cover the cost of the return or refund shipping.

Note:  All unfinished wood items follow returns for in-stock items and we will refund 100% as long as the items are received in the condition shipped.

​

We photograph all products before shipping. If an item is damaged, please refer to damaged item refunds and follow that process to receive a full refund for both the product and shipping.

Custom Items

We do not accept refunds for custom-made items that meet your specifications.

​

Sales Taxes

Due to the limitations of our CMS Web provider (Wix) understanding of Canadian Tax requirements and proper labelling, the line GST/HST will include (PST, RST, or QST) plus GST for the four provinces that do not have GST only or HST. Let us know if you need to have this broken out, and we can provide you with a manual receipt.

Payments

Our website uses Wix Payments, which provides several credit card options, including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and Google Pay. We also offer PayPal. Payments are made through their servers, so Rustic and Renewed Decor cannot access any of your payment information. We only have access to Order information, which is stored on Wix. 

 

For custom items, you can also pay by e-transfer.

 

Consumer Protection Law

Where the Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation.

 

Limitation of Liability

Rustic and Renewed Décor and its employees, partners, and affiliates are not liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including any legal fees, resulting from your use of the Site.

Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site, you indemnify and hold harmless Rustic and Renewed Décor from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses, including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.

​

Applicable Law

The laws of the Province of Ontario govern these Terms and Conditions.
